Gheesling's Big Brother 1 is the premiere season of Gheesling's Big Brother. The season featured 17 HouseGuests competing to make it to the end, and featured a variety of twists in the game. Part of the main twist this season was that the majority of the HouseGuests had a secret partner, excluding one who worked alone. Various other twists occured throughout the game, such as a Double Eviction on Day 15. The series will last for a total of 41 days, with the winner being crowned on the final day.

ProductionEdit

CastingEdit

Applications for the series began on September 27, 2012 and required applicants to answer questions such as their age, color level, and whom their favorite previous HouseGuest was. Round 2 of applications began on September 29, and featured more detailed questions about the applicants. Questions included applicants opinions on various twists, as well as their strategy and what sets them apart from other hopefuls. The 17 competing HouseGuests were revealed on the premiere night.

BroadcastEdit

The series began on October 2, 2012. It is slated to last for a total of 40 days, with the Winner and Runner-Up beign crowned on the final day. The first eviction of the season occured on Day 4, with subsequent evictions happening every other day.

FormatEdit

Tengaged contestants who apply for the series will be notified of whether they made the series or not. Each week, the HouseGuests took part in several compulsory challenges that determined who would win power in the House. The winner of the Head of Household competition was immune from nominations and was instructed to nominate two fellow HouseGuests for eviction. After a HouseGuest became Head of Household he or she was ineligible to take part in the next Head of Household competition. The winner of the Power of Veto competition won the right to save one of the nominated HouseGuests from eviction. If the Veto winner exercised the power, the Head of Household then had to nominate another HouseGuest for eviction.

On eviction night all HouseGuests except for the Head of Household and the two nominees voted to evict one of the two nominees. Before the voting began the nominees had the chance to say a final message to their fellow HouseGuests. In the event of a tie, the Head of Household would break the tie and reveal their vote in front of the other HouseGuests. The nominee with the most votes from the other HouseGuests was evicted from the House. HouseGuests could voluntarily leave the House at any time and those who broke the rules were expelled by Big Brother. The last seven evictees of the season form the Jury that voted for the winner on the season finale, they were known as the jury members. None of the HouseGuests are aware of how the voting process went until after the season.

A new edition to the format is the presence of the "Player of the Week", in which the public would be polled each week to determine who would receive the title. It could bring either a reward or a punishment with it, each time being random. A HouseGuest was not eligible to be Player of the Week for two consecutive weeks, similar to the Head of Hosuehold position. Various other format changes occured during the season. In the second week, Head of Household Ace unleashed the "Triple Threat" twist, resulting in three nominees and two evictions that week. Ace also won a Diamond Power of Veto in the game, which he used during the fourth week. In the fifth week, a secret power was unleashed in the house, with Daniel being the holder.

SummaryEdit

On Day 1, the 17 HouseGuests were revealed. They were all later informed who their secret partner was, though one HouseGuest was left without a partner. Later that night, the group competed in the first Head of Household competition, which Sharon won. On Day 2, Sharon failed to make her nominations in time, thus placing herself and her partner, Billy, on the block. On Day 3, Seth won the first Power of Veto of the season, and chose to leave nominations intact. This resulted in Sharon's eviction the following day, when she was voted out in a twelve to three vote. Due to her inactivity, a penalty vote was cast against Sharon as well, bringing the total vote to thirteen to three.

Following Sharon's eviction, Ace became the new Head of Household. It was then announced that Arizona had won the first Player of the Week title, and would be immune from eviction that week. This led to an altercation between Arizona and several other HouseGuests. Shortly afterwards, Ace opened Pandora's Box, unleashing the "Triple Threat" twist into the game for the week. This twist required him to nominate three HouseGuests for eviction, with two of them being evicted. On Day 5, he chose to nominate Blake, Nic and Robert for eviction. Later that night, Seth won the second Power of Veto competition, which required those competing to list the 17 HouseGuests in the order they applied for the series. He chose to use the Power of Veto on Robert, with Ty being named the replacement nominee. At the eviction, Ty was evicted, receiving 7 votes. Blake was the second person evicted that night, receiving 6 votes.

It was announced that Hannah had won the second Player of the Week prize, which she could either accept or decline. She chose to accept the offer, and received immunity from being nominated pre-veto. This means she cannot be an initial nominee, but can be nominated as a replacement nominee if the Veto is exercised. During the HoH competition, those competing had to answer questions about their fellow HouseGuests and the answers they provided on their applications. Ultimately, Matt won the competition. On Day 7, Robert chose to walk from the game. Later that day, Matt chose to nominate Arizona and Sox for eviction. On Day 8, Ace won the third Power of Veto competition, tying Ace and Seth for the most competition wins thus far. Late on Day 8, Arizona announced that she had chosen to walk from the game. On Day 9, however, Arizona returned after only a few hours of absence. Before the eviction, it was announced Arizona had won Player of the Week. If she were to be evicted, however, Sox would be PotW. Minutes later, Arizona was evicted in a four to two vote.

Following Arizona's eviction, Seth won the "Strike Out" Head of Household competition. As Sox failed to make a decision as to whether he would be accepting or denying the Player of the Week prize, he automatically was forced to decline what was later revealed to be a secret power. On Day 10, Seth chose to nominate Nic and Saxon for eviction. This made Nic the first HouseGuest to be nominated twice. Later that night, Daniel won his first Power of Veto competition, and later chose to leave nominations the same. Minutes later, Ace chose to use the Diamond Power of Veto, which he had earned after winning HoH two weeks before. He took Nic off the block, and replaced him with Sox. On Day 12, Sox was evicted from the house in a unanimous seven to zero vote.

Following the eviction, it was revealed that Daniel had been chosen as the Player of the Week. He chose to accept the offer, earning a secret power. The HoH competition began that morning as well, ending later in the day, with Ace winning the competition. This makes him the first HouseGuest to win Head of Household more than one time. He chose to nominate Pamela and Kyle for eviction. Shortly after her nomination, Pamela engaged in numerous arguments with HouseGuests Ace and Seth. That night, Pamela chose to walk from the game, but returned the following day after talking with Gheesling. During the Veto competition, Seth claimed his third Veto win of the season, and chose to leave nominations the same. Daniel then revealed that the Player of the Week prize was a second Veto, which he also chose not to use. On Day 15, Pamela was evicted in a six to one vote. Following her eviction, HouseGuests learned it was a Double Eviction. Kyle won the following HoH competition, and nominated Ace and Billy for eviction. When Seth won his fourth Power of Veto, he chose to save Ace; he was replaced with Nic. Nic was then evicted in a four to one vote.

Following the two evictions, Conor won the preceding Head of Household competition, his first win of the season. It was then revealed that Kyle and Seth had tied for Player of the Week, and both received the award, which was a Veto ticket. This means they will both automatically be able to participate in the following Power of Veto competition. Minutes later, Gheesling revealed that Pandora's Box had been opened, and that a previously evicted player would be returning via a poll based voting system. On Day 16, Kyle and Saxon were nominated for eviction. Later that night, it was revealed that Arizona had been chosen to return to the game. As she was not eligible to be HoH that week, she was immune from nominations. Early on Day 19, Ace won the Power of Veto competition, and chose to remove Kyle from the block. Conor then chose to name Daniel the replacement nominee. In a twist, Daniel revealed he had a secret Power of Veto that week, and would be saving himself from the block. Conor then chose to replace him with Billy. On Day 19, Saxon was evicted in a four to three vote.

Following the eviction, Daniel became the new Head of Household. This marked his first HoH win, and second win total. Minutes later, it was revealed he had won Immunity as the Player of the Week. Since he was already immune, he had to grant the power to someone else; he chose Seth. Later that night, he chose to nominate Arizona and Conor for eviction. Seth went on to win his fifth Power of Veto, and chose to leave nominations intact. On Day 21, Arizona was re-evicted in a three to two vote.

Following Arizona's eviction, Ace won his third Head of Household competition. He nominated Billy and Conor for eviction that week. At the Veto competition, Ace won his third PoV, tying he and Seth with the record for most competition wins with six total. Ace chose to use his Power of Veto on Billy. In a twist, Conor revealed he had a Diamond Power of Veto, which he chose to save himself. Daniel and Hannah were the replacement nominees. On Day 24, Daniel was evicted in a three to two vote. Later that day, Seth chose to walk from the game due to an urgent personal matter.

Following Daniel's eviction and Seth's departure, Kyle became the new Head of Household. He nominated Matt and Ace for eviction. During the Veto competition, Kyle became the second HouseGuest this season to win the Power of Veto while holding the HoH title. Kyle chose to leave nominations the same, resulting in Ace's eviction on Day 27.

Following Ace's eviction, Hannah became the new Head of Household. She initially nominated Conor and Matt for eviction, but Matt went on to win the Power of Veto and save himself from the block. Hannah chose to replace him with Billy, making this his fourth time on the block for eviction. On Day 30, it was revealed that there was a tie vote and Hannah, as HoH, would have to break it. She chose to evict Conor from the house, making him the next evicted HouseGuest.

Following Conor's eviciton, Matt became the new Head of Household, giving him his second HoH win. He nominated Hannah and Kyle for eviction. At the final Power of Veto competition, Kyle won the power to save himself from the block, and chose to exercise it; Billy was the only eligible HouseGuest, and was named the replacement nominee. On Day 33, Kyle cast the sole vote to evict Billy from the house, taking Hannah into the Final Three with himself and Matt.

During the first round of the final Head of Household competition, Matt beat out Kyle and Hannah. His win secured him a spot in the final round. Kyle beat Hannah in the second round of the competition, thus advancing to the final round. Ultimately, Matt became the final Head of Household after beating Kyle in the final round; Matt chose to bring Hannah to the Final Two with him over Kyle, who was evicted on Day 37. On Day 41, Hannah was crowned the winner in a 4-3 jury vote.
